The College of Education has an exciting opportunity for an experienced, motivated, and versatile Information Technology Manager with a passion for providing exceptional customer service and operational excellence. The IT Manager will lead the Carrara Education Technology Center (CETC) and is responsible for the leadership, strategic direction, project management, and operations of the information technology unit within the College of Education. This includes identifying emerging trends, strategic directions, best practices, and resources to ensure that faculty, staff, and students have the information technology tools and infrastructure necessary to carry out the research, teaching, and outreach missions of the college. This position administers the Education domain and local area networks for the four buildings that comprise the College of Education and provides financial oversight for the College of Education CETC IT enterprise. The successful candidate will demonstrate exemplary ability in work design, project management, financial planning, and development of goals for accomplishing unit assignments in an accurate and timely manner. The incumbent will supervise, evaluate, develop, and train assigned staff. A strong commitment to customer service, substantial technical aptitude, excellent problem-solving analysis and critical thinking skills, quality verbal and written communication and presentation skills, the ability to learn new things quickly and independently, and high performance in a team environment and a proven ability to work successfully in a diverse work environment are required. An awareness of emerging trends in IT is also strongly desired. Reporting directly to the Director of Operations, the incumbent will serve as the College's senior IT leader and will liaison between the technology function and senior leadership within the College. This position will coordinate with University IT when necessary to ensure consistency of processes and policies.
