Northern Arizona University (NAU) is seeking an innovative, forward-thinking Chair to lead dynamic faculty and staff in the Department of Health Sciences in Flagstaff, AZ. The successful candidate will provide leadership in programming, research and budget. The department offers face to face and distance programming in Allied Health, Fitness-Wellness, Nutrition & Foods, Physical Education, and Public Health undergraduate programs. The department also offers a Master of Public Health with Registered Dietician option, and participates in the Interdisciplinary Health PhD program. Several members of the department are also affiliated with the Center for Health Equity Research, housed in the College of Health and Human Services.
This is a twelve-month position at the rank of associate or full academic professor. Appointed rank will be commensurate with experience and qualifications consistent with the Conditions of Faculty Service. The anticipated start date is July 1, 2020.
