Educare Springfield, a state-of-the-art, full day/full year school serving at-risk children from birth to age five, seeks the founding Executive Director of the first Educare program in MA. Educare Springfield’s Executive Director will lead key initiatives aimed at eliminating the educational achievement gap in Springfield. Responsibilities include:
The successful candidate will work in collaboration with the Site Director, who will be responsible for the operation of the school (hiring and training teachers, recruiting students, etc.), to deliver outstanding educational outcome for students in Springfield. The Executive Director will be innovative, entrepreneurial and committed to Educare’s ambitious mission, with outstanding oral and written communication skills and a proven track record of resource development, advocacy, organizational and fiscal management, strategic planning and tactical implementation. Preferred qualifications include 7-10 years+ of related experience and advanced degree in a related field, knowledge of education/early education and care (including Head Start), experience working with a Board of Directors, ability to work with diverse constituencies and Spanish/English bilingual skills.
