LOCATION: District Wide Responsibilities
STANDARD HOURS: 40 hours per week. Typical hours Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., flexibility required to include other evening and/or weekend hours as necessary.
MINIMUM STARTING SALARY*: $60,449 per year
*Current benefit eligible employees will be placed within the pay range based on their current rate/range.

Supervise the lab technicians located in Green Bay and Marinette to ensure proper safety protocol is followed consistently. Provide leadership to efficiently purchase equipment and supplies; and, maintain current and up-to-date inventory of such. Serve as a liaison to regional learning centers and high schools to establish relationships and ensure safety and waste disposal processes are enforced and carried out appropriately. Ensure education and training for all who enter and utilize the labs is provided and documented. Maintain regular and consistent communication with NWTC Safety and Security Manager.

Essential Functions Statement(s)
SKILLS & ABILITIES
Education: Bachelor's Degree in a related field
Experience: Minimum three years’ experience in Environmental Health and Safety, Lab Safety, or in a Safety Leadership role. Two years’ experience supervising employees.
**An equivalent combination of education and work experience may be considered.
Microsoft Office Suite to include Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Related certifications (e.g. EHS, ASCP, ASP, CSP) preferred
Understand physiological, biological, and chemical principles
Must hold or be willing to obtain OSHA 10 certification within one year
Must hold a valid driver’s license and be insurable under the District’s standard insurance policy terms
