Service and Advocacy for Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, and Transgender Elders (SAGE) is the nation’s oldest and largest community-based organization serving and celebrating members of the LGBT older adult community. Since its founding in 1978, SAGE has developed and provided a wide array of social services, including case management, individual and group counseling, SAGE Positive and Friendly Visiting for the homebound. In addition, the agency is a national leader in advocacy, educating the LGBT and non-LGBT communities about LGBT aging through efforts such as training for professionals, community organizations and sponsorship and participation in conferences at both state and national level.
