JOB SUMMARY:
Work closely with Latino and other diverse community organizations and populations to aid the recruitment of a diverse workforce. In close collaboration with recruitment teams and hiring managers, align recruitment, on-boarding and retention efforts with the college’s strategic goal of equity, core theme of cultural richness, and values of inclusiveness and engagement. Design, develop and implement strategic recruitment and retention programs with a specific focus on diversity and inclusion. Research hiring best practices, networking, and outreach methods to position LBCC as an employer of choice for Latino and other diverse populations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Design, develop and implement innovative recruitment programs, focusing on Latino and other diverse applicants, in support of LBCC’s core themes, strategic goals, and values.
Research best practices and work to install and grow on-boarding processes with a focus on Latinos and other employees of color.
Research best practices and work to install and grow employee retention programs with a focus on Latinos and other employees of color.
Build pipelines of qualified diverse candidates through frequent direct contact with diverse populations and through innovative notification and networking strategy. Foster strong candidate relationships in person, via telephone, email, social media, etc. Utilize new technologies as appropriate.
Create advertising plans, outreach, and training in collaboration with Recruitment Teams.
Participate in recruitment events and represent LBCC, networking within the district community, statewide and nationally.
Develop social media strategies to position LBCC as an employer of choice for diverse populations.
Coordinate with Latino Outreach and Recruitment Specialist to align student recruitment and employee recruitment plans to create efficiencies and consistency of message in College of Choice efforts.
Collaborate with all college departments to create diversity and inclusion plans for employees of color. Provide guidance and act as a subject matter expert to recruitment teams, hiring managers, and the college community in-general on matters related to Diversity and inclusion among employees.
In conjunction with the Employment Services Manager, track recruitment and retention metrics and provide data and reports on a regular basis. Monitor and evaluate effectiveness of programs, and make adjustments as needed.
Perform/support general recruiting and recruitment planning, as needed.
Collaborate with VICE Council and various internal constituencies to build college wide structures focused on intentional inclusion and retention for staff of color.
Ensure compliance with federal, state and local requirements and follow College recruitment and selection guidelines.
Perform other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience, Education, and Training: Three years’ experience in targeted recruitment strongly preferred. Experience in networking and community organizing/engagement. Bi-lingual English/Spanish fluency required.
