About Walkup Studio
Walkup Studio is a social-first agency working across strategy, content, production, and platform management for brands, creators, and talent. We bring together editorial judgment, cultural awareness, and organized execution to help our clients connect with their audiences.
The role
We're looking for an Assistant Account Strategist to support our Talent Team across social content, research, and day-to-day account coordination. You'll help turn ideas into organized content calendars, write copy, research cultural and platform trends, and keep the details behind our client work moving.
This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys both the creative and organizational sides of social media: finding a useful reference, getting the wording right, keeping assets in order, and making sure the next step doesn't get missed. You'll contribute ideas while supporting the team's work across multiple talent accounts.
What you'll do
- Support content planning and copywriting. Help build editorial calendars and draft copy that reflects each client's voice and priorities.
- Research ideas and references. Conduct social and media research, account audits, and photo research to support content development and client projects.
- Monitor assigned accounts. Follow relevant conversations, coverage, and platform developments, bringing useful observations and timely opportunities to the team.
- Keep client work organized. Coordinate meetings, prepare agendas and recaps, and track follow-ups so colleagues and clients have clear next steps.
- Support reporting. Help prepare weekly and monthly updates, maintain media lists and coverage reports, and organize findings for the team and clients.
- Maintain content resources. Keep photo archives, records, and shared assets organized to support clear handoffs between colleagues.
- Communicate reliably. Respond thoughtfully to requests, manage competing deadlines, and raise questions or potential delays early.
What you'll bring
- 1–3 years of relevant experience in a strategic or creative agency, a fast-moving startup, or a comparable environment.
- A bachelor's degree in Writing, Journalism, Communication, or Media Studies.
- Strong writing and verbal communication skills; copywriting experience is a plus.
- An interest in editorial work, social media, talent, pop culture, and visual research.
- Strong organization and attention to detail, with the ability to keep several tasks moving while understanding the wider goal.
- Resourcefulness, initiative, and a collaborative approach to solving problems.
- Professionalism and discretion when handling sensitive client information.
