Description
Who We Are
Healthcare quality is complex. Medisolv helps make it manageable — and actionable.
We partner with hospitals, health systems, ACOs, and payers to bring clarity to quality data, connecting clinical and claims information into a single, reliable view. More than 1,800 organizations and 130M+ patient records rely on Medisolv to measure, report, and improve performance across 500+ measures tied to CMS, The Joint Commission, and other programs.
With support from Bessemer Venture Partners Forge, we're continuing to grow our platform and expand our impact — investing in advanced analytics, AI, and new capabilities that help healthcare organizations stay ahead of change and improve outcomes with confidence.
Reporting to the Senior Director of Reporting & Analytics, we are looking for an experienced Forward Deployed BI Engineer to join our team.
About the Role
This is the role that sits between our platform and the client. You will embed directly with health plan and health system clients, work out what they actually need to see, and build it — dashboards, reports, and analytics views on top of our combined clinical quality and payer claims data.
Unlike our core engineering roles, this one is client-facing by design. You will spend real time with client analysts, quality leaders, and IT teams, translating vague or shifting requirements into working BI deliverables, and then bringing what you learn back to our product and data teams so the platform improves. Strong technical depth matters, but so does the judgment to run a room, manage expectations, and say no to the wrong request.
We are a recently combined organization pairing more than 25 years of clinical quality measurement and regulatory reporting with a cloud-native Medicare Advantage Stars analytics platform. Clients are asking for reporting across both worlds, and you will often be the first person building it.
What You'll Do
• Embed with clients to gather, challenge, and refine reporting and analytics requirements
• Build dashboards, reports, and analytical views against health plan and clinical quality data
• Work across whatever BI tooling the engagement calls for — ours and the client's
• Write and optimize the queries behind those deliverables
• Partner with internal data modeling, data acquisition, and product teams to get the underlying data right
• Translate recurring client requests into productized reporting the whole client base can use
• Present work directly to client stakeholders and manage feedback cycles through to sign-off
• Use AI tooling to improve productivity and accelerate delivery
What You'll Accomplish — Your Performance Objectives
In your first 30 days, you will:
Onboard and get to know the people, products, and departments that make Medisolv run. You'll build immersion in the platform, our data model, and the subject matter, and begin shadowing live client engagements.
In your first 60 days, you will:
Begin owning BI deliverables inside an active client engagement, with support from your manager and team as you take on more independent work.
In your first 90 days, you will:
Independently lead the BI workstream on assigned accounts — feeding requirements back into the product roadmap and collaborating extensively with internal client account teams.
