The Field Office Representative (FOR) supports the development and implementation of technical solutions to the IT needs of the Corporation's Divisions, at its Field Offices nationwide. The FOR supports and coordinates the implementation of major IT improvement programs, renovations, and service implementations within the Regional and Field Offices of the FDIC. The incumbent FOR is the principal focal point for DIT IT and telecommunications services provided in the Field Offices of the Corporation.
Serves as the designated DIT (FOR) to implement the Service Level Agreement (SLA); including responsibility as the coordinating interface with the client Divisions of the Corporation in the Field Offices on all DIT IT services.
Monitors the operation and functions of the local area networks (LAN) within the Field Offices(s), and the integration of such LANs with the Regional Office networks and other Telecommunications systems.

Employee may be relocated to any duty location to meet management needs.
Moderate Risk Position - Minimum Background Investigation (MBI) required.
U.S. Citizenship is required.

You must have Information Technology (IT)-related experience which demonstrates proficiency in each of the following competencies:

• Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations.
Applicants must have at least 52 weeks of specialized experience to the grade 12 level in the Federal Service. Specialized experience is hands-on experience troubleshooting and resolving issues with Microsoft (MS) Software including Windows Operating System and MS Office Suite, and remote access capabilities; repairing laptops, desktops, and printers; imaging of workstations; and connecting workstations to wired and wireless networks.

2. Knowledge of IT service management (ITSM) including the approach for delivering, managing and improving the way information technology (IT) is used within an organization.
3. Ability to apply the principles, practices, and methods of customer relationship management, project control, information processes, and resource management.
4. Knowledge of current IT trends that impact clients and their needs for information to address those needs related to Corporate and Divisional goals and objectives.
