The Regional Arts & Culture Council (RACC) is seeking a Workplace Giving Associate to work in a fast-paced environment and provide critical support in raising donations from employees at scores of companies throughout the Portland metropolitan area. The ideal candidate will have experience in customer service or donor relations, working with a wide range of communication styles, ages, and abilities, and demonstrate a passion for arts and culture. Status: Full-Time, Non-Exempt Schedule: Generally, this position follows RACC office hours (M-F, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM), but flexibility is required – including some evening and weekend events. Position Summary: This is an ideal position for someone who genuinely enjoys meeting and talking with a wide variety of people, and who also finds it rewarding to produce highly accurate, well-organized work at the office. Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Represent RACC at numerous workplace giving events, and speak with current and potential donors about the importance of contributing to arts and culture. Assist with a number of administrative tasks in the office, including: mailings, filing, data entry, printing, copying, and scanning. Conduct research and prepare materials for campaigns. Contribute content for various RACC communication channels including e-Newsletters, webpages, and social media. Organize and produce the monthly Arts Card E-newsletter. Provide support for the Workplace Giving Coordinator. Assist with donor communications and recognition. Record Work for Art donor pledge information from individuals and corporations using the Raiser’s Edge database. Required Knowledge, Skills and Qualities: 4+ years of pertinent work, volunteer, or education experience. Strong organizational skills, including exceptional time management and ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously. Demonstrated public speaking experience. Exemplary customer service skills, friendly demeanor, helpful attitude, and attention to detail. Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills. Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Qualities: Ability to travel throughout the Portland metropolitan area. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and Publisher). Experience with Raiser’s Edge and/or other donor databases. Physical Parameters: Packing, unpacking, carrying, and lifting tasks are required and are limited to 40 pounds or less. This position also requires extended periods of sitting and standing. Concentrated data entry using computer keyboard and mouse. About the Regional Arts & Culture Council RACC advocates for public and private investments in the arts, provides grants for artists and arts organizations, manages public art , raises money through workplace giving , conducts arts education in public schools, and provides community services , including workshops for artists, organizational consulting, and a variety of printed and electronic resources. RACC is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that receives funding from a variety of public and private partners to serve artists, arts organizations, schools and residents throughout Clackamas, Multnomah, and Washington counties.
