Information Officer I – Events and Operations Coordinator

Lowell, MA

The New England Interstate Water Pollution Control Commission is seeking detail-oriented, dynamic, committed, and personable Information Officer candidates to serve as an Events and Operations Coordinator providing logistic support to the planning and executing of meetings, conferences, trade shows and events, and financial invoice database reconciliation. Incumbent will research venues, distribute RFPs, and act as the primary contact for event registration databases and additional event requirements. Incumbent will support the Business Operations Manager with IT assistance, administrative support, and office resource and equipment management.

The successful candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in business administration, hotel administration, public relations, events management, tourism, marketing, or related field. Must possess exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, as well as strong organization and project management skills. Will have proved ability in Microsoft Office Suite and internet skills. Knowledge of budget preparation and contract management as well as exposure to travel arrangements and/or a corporate travel environment preferred.
