The Energy Planning & Innovation (P&I) Division supports the agency mission by pursuing programs and policies that help Oregonians conserve energy, use energy more efficiently, and produce energy using renewable sources. The Division’s two sections: Energy Efficiency & Conservation and Energy Technology & Policy collaborate with the Department’s other divisions and stakeholders to help support the development of clean energy resources and integrate those resources into the State’s transmission and distribution system. The division offers energy expertise across sectors, including efficiency in buildings and manufacturing as well as alternative fuels and infrastructure, while helping Oregon build a more resilient energy system – one that is well prepared to respond to issues such as climate change and natural disasters. The division also helps the State pursue strategies to reduce greenhouse gas emissions through energy efficiency, renewable energy, and sustainable transportation.

The purpose of this position is to serve as an expert on climate change specifically relating to policy, technical aspects, and markets for the agency. Additionally, this position provides staff support to the Oregon Climate Action Commission, including technical expertise in climate-related studies and policies, and by providing administrative assistance to the Commission.
This position is eligible for a hybrid remote work schedule. The incumbent will be expected to work at the central workplace located at 550 Capitol St. NE in Salem, Oregon, at least eight times per year. This generally includes attendance at pre-scheduled in-person all-staff meetings. The position may also be required to work at the central workplace on a more frequent basis with advance notice, as needed.

Position Summary
The Senior Director of Enterprise Systems & Data Services, reports to the AVP for Planning & Digital Transformation and serves as a member of the IRT leadership team. The incumbent actively participates in planning, projects, prioritization, and continuous improvement of IRT operations and customer service.
The Senior Director leads and manages the Enterprise Systems (PeopleSoft) team and helps develop and diffuse a culture that is attuned to mission critical activities, strategic goals, and providing excellent service and experiences to faculty, staff, and students. Automated Regional Justice Information System (ARJIS) is recognized as a leader in the use of technologies for regional, State, and national public safety applications. The Developer will participate in a variety of advanced professional, analytical, and coordination support duties for programming, design, development, deployment, and maintenance of ARJIS applications technology.
The Developer will be detail-oriented, capable of maintaining accurate data and records, with superior quantitative analytical capabilities, organized, with effective communication skills.
The final candidate selected for this position must successfully pass a preemployment criminal background check in compliance with the FBI and the California Department of Justice requirements. Experience and Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in computer science, information technology, or a related field. A combination of relevant education and recent work experience may be considered in lieu of the bachelor’s degree requirement.
Minimum of three years of full-time professional information technology experience preferably in a public safety environment; understanding of pertinent federal, state, and local laws, codes, and regulations regarding public safety is preferred.
Demonstrated experience developing, deploying, maintaining, and enhancing client web and mobile based applications in a Microsoft Windows/IIS/Visual Studio/SQL Server environment; ability to design debugging, testing, and performance monitoring routines.
Demonstrated application development experience using Visual Studio and the Microsoft .NET Framework; demonstrated knowledge and implementation of programming technologies including C#.NET, Entity Framework 6.x, SQL, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery; demonstrated knowledge and understanding of object-oriented programming methodologies and best practices; knowledge of VBA for Access, Java, MVC, and Python is desirable.
