The selected candidate will perform routine and standardized purchasing, contracting, or agreement work to purchase the county's materials, supplies, equipment, and services. The incumbent also provides technical support to higher-level analysts and the Procurement Manager by gathering and processing information and conducting relevant market research to support contracts and agreements. The Procurement & Contract Assistant is the first level of the Procurement and Contract series. The work is accomplished by choosing among select, recognizable alternatives, such as selecting from among standard items based on price or assisting with contracting processes following clearly defined guidelines.
