The Information Technology Department (ITD) consists of five operational divisions: Administration; Applications; Service Delivery; Network Services; and Security. ITD resources are operated and maintained in a manner that supports high availability for utilization and minimizes the risk of business interruption. ITD's focus is on developing a sustainable, customer focused environment to enhance and improve the quality of technology services used by County departments for the benefit of all Monterey County residents, businesses, and visitors.

The Applications Division of ITD is currently seeking Software Programmer Analyst candidates at the entry level with basic understanding of the software development life cycle, and knowledge of current programming languages and relational databases such as HTML, JavaScript, CSS, ASP.NET MVC, C#, and SQL Server. The ideal candidate will have some experience in the development, maintenance, and support of software applications, and is comfortable working in a team environment and interested in learning and developing new solutions. The selected candidate will be part of a dynamic team that supports in-house and enterprise applications for Monterey County departments, business partners, residents, and visitors.
