The Monterey County, Information Technology Department (ITD) consists of six (6) operational Divisions: Administration; Applications; Service Delivery; Enterprise Operations; Infrastructure; and Security. ITD resources are operated and maintained in a manner that supports high availability for utilization and minimizes the risk of business interruption. ITD's focus is on developing a sustainable, customer focused environment to enhance and improve the quality of technology services used by County departments for the benefit of all Monterey County residents, businesses, and visitors.

The IT Division Manager in the Service Delivery Division plans, organizes, coordinates, leads, and directs specialized information technology services for a major division within ITD to include desktop system services, service desk management, and client service delivery. This position is a key member of ITD's senior management team, overseeing services and operations being performed by approximately 26 full-time staff members, and will be instrumental in driving both organization and technology transformational change to provide state of the art technology solutions that support our customers' needs today and in the future. The ideal candidate is a seasoned IT professional with strong customer service experience that has worked in a highly diversified and complex technology environment. In addition, the ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background that includes internal standalone systems, virtual environments, and Software as a service (SaaS) / Infrastructure as a service (IaaS) providers.
