Develops and administers company-wide training programs aligned with the Company’s strategic goals. The Training and Development Manager creates and implements programs that connect employees with business goals; consults with leadership to identify business and change management processes; ensures training and development programs align with company goals; and maintains a position in the community to build a pipeline of future workers. 


To accomplish this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily.

  • Develop and maintain training/development programs for the entire organization to include soft and technical skills.
  • Execute learning and development programs and ensure accountability with department leadership.  
  • Develop and manage departmental learning modules, in conjunction with subject matter experts, delivered through online, classroom and on-the-job training.
  • Identify and deliver train-the-trainer initiative to build a foundation of best practices for on-the-job training. 
  • Work in partnership with management to identify employee training/development needs.
  • Participate in talent assessments and succession planning.
  • Promote employee engagement by fostering open communication and soliciting feedback.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to department leadership to facilitate meaningful performance feedback and identify and address performance issues while ensuring open communication and consistency.
  • Coordination of standard jobs and capabilities, as well as an annual review and maintenance process.
  • Create roadmaps outlining learning offerings aligned to capabilities across functions.


  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Management, Organizational Development, or equivalent experience required.
  • 3-5 years of experience in training or organizational development.
  • Experience managing projects - idea to implementation.
  • Experience in the manufacturing industry is highly desirable.
  • Coaching and/or facilitation experience.
  • Knowledge of Human Resources, Change Management, and Talent Management systems.
