Clark College is currently accepting applications for a full-time, non-tenure-track, Automotive Instructor. Primary teaching responsibilities include preparing students for success as a dealership technician through management of the internships. Primary duties include developing and managing relations between Dealership Service Manager, Mentoring Technician and Student; assisting in the development and monitoring of students' goals; ensure success of students both professionally and technically; and ensure student completion of Factory and Industry Certifications (ASE). This position will be responsible for all students in our Dealer Ready programs (Toyota T-TEN, Honda PACT, Audi AEP, and Dick Hannah's HiTECC). Additional teaching assignments may be available. Department and college service work is expected with the position (as assigned by the division or college) to support the institutional mission and goals, foremost being student success and retention. Starting salary is $50,000 (non-negotiable). Faculty may be eligible to advance every other year; current top step is $71,976. Salary is for a 173-day contract; additional compensation is available for summer and moonlight teaching, and doctoral and vocational stipends.
