The Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) has an exciting opportunity for an experienced human resource (HR) leader to direct the work of the 55 HR professionals who support ODOT's staff of 4,700 and make up one of the state's largest and most well respected HR departments.
The proven leader selected to serve as HR director will plan and direct the human resource functions for the agency and provide strategic direction for management and development of the agency's work force. This includes directing the development of long-range vision, goals, policies, and state of the art systems to meet the agency's future human resource needs and ensuring the agency's HR programs are carried out according to laws, rules, and labor contracts.

Duties & Responsibilities
· Lead, direct, and manage Human Resources Branch services, programs, and activities directly and through five subordinate managers.
· ODOT's HR servicedelivery groups include:
· Develop and monitor the human resources budget of approximately $12.7 million biennially.

Qualifications, Required & Requested Skills
Six (6) years of management experience in a public or private organization that included responsibility for each of the following:
